How ECAT merit works
ECAT is used to build a joint merit list across UET Lahore and its constituent campuses for engineering admissions, so your result feeds into a shared aggregate calculation, typically combining ECAT with FSc or equivalent marks, rather than a stand-alone pass/fail outcome. The same ECAT score can rank differently depending on which campus and program you’re targeting, since seat numbers and competition vary across UET’s constituent colleges.
After your result
Compare your result against the previous year’s closing merit for your target campus and program as a rough guide, and start preparing your admission documents — academic certificates, domicile, and CNIC/B-Form — so you’re ready once the merit list process opens. Watch the official UET admissions portal for the exact merit list schedule, since this is published separately from the raw ECAT result.
