How CSS results are structured
Unlike single-stage tests, CSS results are released in phases by FPSC. The written examination result comes first and lists only the candidates who cleared the required aggregate across compulsory and optional papers. Candidates who pass the written stage then proceed to the psychological assessment, medical examination, and final interview — each with its own outcome communicated separately, with the final selection list published only after all stages are complete.
What clearing a stage actually means
Clearing the written CSS exam does not guarantee final selection — it only qualifies you for the subsequent stages. FPSC’s final recommendation list, which determines actual appointment to a service group, comes only after the interview stage, so treat each phase as a separate hurdle rather than assuming written-stage success is the finish line.

Because CSS results are staged and can be delayed depending on FPSC’s internal schedule, the only reliable source for confirmed dates and outcomes is the official FPSC website. Avoid relying on unofficial CSS forums or social media posts for result confirmation, since misinformation around CSS results circulates widely every cycle.
